Equipment chosen for first audio and why

Record player: Technics SL-1500C

Our initial candidate was not actually this model.

It is a popular entry-level model, the TEAC TN-4D-SE, and a little earlier model, the DENONDP-500M(Used)

It is not easy to find a lot of information online, so I asked a question in Wisdom Bags for the first time in 10,000 years because of the record genre.

Gradually, I began to worry that if I compromised on the grade in this area, I would soon want to replace it. I began to worry that if I compromised on this grade, I might be tempted to replace it soon, so I decided to look around a little more.

The next model that caught my eye was the SL-1200MK7, a standard model for DJ applications among the same Technics

While I think it's nice, it doesn't come with a cartridge and I prefer a simpler look....

After a little more research, I finally found a model that met my requirements.

At first, I was looking for speakers under 100,000, but as soon as I found them, I thought, "This is it! Once I found them, I was like, "This is it!

I prefer a clear and crisp sound, and before that I was looking at B&W's 607S3 as a candidate.

The sound was very sparkling and favorable, but I felt that the highs were a bit sharp and I might get tired of listening to them, and that Lumina I was better in terms of overall musical expression.

Premain amplifier: marantz PM8006

The choice was the DENON PMA-600NE, a very well-reviewed entry-level model under 50,000.

This is a multifunctional model that also serves as a network playback device, so if you want to complete your project with a single unit, this is definitely the one for you.

However, when we compared the sound of the PM8006 with the marantz's good balance, wide dynamic range, and the way the sound was made, we could not ignore the PM8006, even though it has a separate network playback function.

I'm ready to buy right away at this price point, and I don't know how much longer I can afford it..."

There were scattered reviews that seemed to be right.

Network player/CD player: marantz M-CR612

By not choosing a model with Bluetooth playback for the amplifier, a network player was needed to play Spotify.

The M-CR612, which also serves as a CD player and is from the same marantz company as the amplifier, was selected.

Although we went a little over budget by splitting the amplifier and network player, we are satisfied with the quality and functionality.

Shelf: IKEA Fierbo

I chose it to serve as both audio equipment and whiskey organizer,

The official image photo shows a record installed, but the lower storage with a door to match the record size.

The depth and other features suitable for the size of the equipment make it ideal for vinyl records, and the price is reasonable, as you would expect from IKEA.

The frame is metal, which makes it easy to expand with magnets and other devices.

From my research, I learned that putting a record player and speakers side by side, which are sensitive to vibration, should be avoided.

The space was quite tight, but we managed to place it on the stand.

I was afraid of it falling if I only used double-sided tape, so I used thin Velcro to secure it to the bottom.

The popular FARGO power strip is made for those who can't afford to buy a full-fledged expensive power strip but want to be particular about it.

As with guitar equipment, I feel safer if the outlets are thick and solid (laughs).

Due to space issues, we had no choice but to place the network player on top of the amplifier.

Since the top of the amp is also a heat exhaust point, I bought an insulator for height and vibration prevention. (The one I bought was no longer available, so I bought a more solid one from OTEC.)

I can't invest that much in cables, but I don't want cheap ones.

So, it is made by Belden, which is also used for guitar shielding.

Banana plugs are included for easy connection.

The connection between the network player and the amplifier is an RCA cable.

It is also different from simply listening to a studio sound source with good sound quality.

Each note is thick and full of information.

It seems to me that the expression "experiencing" is closer to "feeling" than "listening.

Not only the auditory sense but also the visual sense is taken away.

I felt I understood a little more about why you see records in the rooms of artists, creators, and highly sensitive people.

Naturally, it is very different from listening via Bluetooth.

At the same time, however, I also made a new discovery: how much the world can change just by having an amplifier and speakers together, even with Bluetooth.

It costs a lot of money, so I use vinyl records for music that I really want to listen to.

Spotify is a great way to expand your daily use and musical sense.
