From the selection of materials, to the design, the construction, and the functionality, it is hard to believe that this is the first time for this product to appear on the market.
I have completely outgrown my long-time ARC'TERYX Mantis 2 and use it as my daily EDC sling.
This time, 2.5L Core Sling and 1.5L Core Sling Mini

In person, Midnight Blue was quite a dark color!
Core Sling and Core Sling Mini Mantis2 and Mantis1
Here is how it compares to Mantis.
The 2.5L Core Sling looks more like a difference in height.
Both models have more storage capacity than the Mantis because of the stretch pockets and A-Flex expansion.

Material: Finally Ultra from ABLE CARRY!
What is Ultra?
Finally, ABLE CARRY has introduced a model that uses Ultra.
Some outdoor enthusiasts and mountaineering gear lovers will be excited!
About Ultra200x
Made by Challenge Outdoor. Outer fabric made of a combination of UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) + polyester, laminated with a waterproof film. In addition, a multi-layered fabric with X-shaped reinforcing fibers (x-ply).
Left: Core Sling, Right: Daily Plus (X-Pac)
A super high-performance fabric with a "multi-layer" structure like X-Pac, but lighter and more tear-resistant.
This fabric has a slightly more matte texture than X-Pac, and has a good balance of shape retention performance, but with less crispness and flexibility.
Ultra 200x is 100, 200, 400, and 800, among many others,Balanced type with the most versatility in terms of lightness, strength and water resistance
Ultra200x Features
Lightweight and overwhelming strength Approximately 301 TP3T lighter than X-Pac VX21 and tear strength exceeds X-Pac
does not easily lose shape The X-shaped reinforcement forms the "bone" of the bag, making it easy to maintain its shape even with a small amount of luggage.
abrasion resistance Resistant to abrasion and tough enough to be used from daily use to outdoor activities
waterproof Waterproof equivalent to X-Pac, no need to worry about rain
Quite expensive due to overwhelming performance Unit price of fabric far exceeds that of X-Pac, which is considered expensive.
nike
I have heard about Ultra's fabric unit price before and was surprised to see a considerable difference from X-Pac as well. To be honest, before the announcement, I thought it would be around $30,000, so this pricing makes me want it so badly...!
Cordura Ripstop
About Cordura Ripstop
Cordura fabric, manufactured and sold by the American company INVISTA, is a durable fiber that is several times stronger than nylon. Because of its tear and abrasion resistance and water repellency, it is used as military equipment and outdoor gear. The Cordura is stitched in a grid pattern for added strength. →Stop" to "Rip
Compared to Ultra and X-Pac, Cordura Ripstop is more flexible and easy to handle.
The fact that it is a sling size is enough to make a big difference in the bounce of the silhouette.
Strengths of the Cordura Ripstop model compared to the Ultra model
Reasonable amount
Flexible and easy to maneuver
Lighter zipping than watertight zips
Storage: Expanded compression "A-Flex" and Ultra Stretch pockets
Ultra Stretch is too practical
Although the Ultra fabric tends to stand out, this stretch material is actually insanely awesome.
This is also made by Challenge Outdoor, the same company as the main fabric.
A material blended with nylon 6.6, Lycra, and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). A highly stretchable fabric that stretches in four directions, mixed with cut-resistant high-tech fibers to increase durability.
It is extremely resistant to tearing and cutting, and can be carried even with angular objects or objects of a certain weight without a sense of insecurity.
This is quite practical and really useful..!
No need to worry about mini tripods or other edges
Even the Mini's 1.5L can hold EDC and a shell jacket.
It is the type of pocket that can be used with gusto, not as a bonus, because it stretches well and has high return strength.
This allows for more storage capacity than the 1.5L and 2.5L capacities on the specs. (Image similar to a mountaineering sack)
Expansion and compression function "A-Flex
A-Flex at compression
A unique expansion and compression function called "A-Flex" is also a key player in bringing out the best of Ultra Streth.
The roominess is created by pulling out overlapping fabrics without using zips or other parts.
Not only does it simply increase storage capacity, but the key is that this room allows the stretch pockets to be used comfortably even when the bag is rather fully loaded.
Other storage space
Core Sling
Two large and two small mesh pockets and a removable key ring.
Elongated mesh pocket (left hand side), main compartment with zip pocket
Rear storage is also available!
As with the backpack, the quality of ABLE CARRY's interior is still excellent and well-made. (Inside is made of Ripstop Nylon)
Core Sling Mini
The Core Sling Mini consists of a stretch pocket and a main compartment.
The mesh and key ring that were on the front compartment in the Core Sling seem to be on the front of the main compartment in the Mini.
Comfort: straps that can also be repositioned
Core Sling
Core Sling straps
The Core Sling's straps are thickly padded.
It has a storage capacity of 2.5 liters, which is more than the specifications allow, and it can also hold a compact camera and other items, making it a comfortable specification even if it is heavy.
There are two adjustment points.
Here is another location.
The buckles, which can be attached and detached, are buried in the edge of the pad so that the parts do not hit the pad.
The pad is fixed in place, so there is no need to worry about it moving here. (Pads are not removable.)
And a buckle is also embedded here, allowing the user to put on and take off.
The strap adjustment method is a bit quirky.
It is designed to carry even fairly heavy loads, so it is locked in place under normal conditions to avoid it coming loose easily.
Adjustable by loosening or contracting at a 90-degree angle.
Core Sling Mini
As for the Core Sling Mini, it is much thinner than the Mantis 1 and has no buckle.
However, compared to Core Sling, the adjustment is quite smooth, so we did not find it that stressful.
Both in common,
Detachable strap
Can be attached to any of the 4 loops
The mounting position can be changed according to preference and the way it is worn.
After trying various methods, I prefer to use my left shoulder strap, with the shoulder side as the upper loop and the flank side as the side loop.
It can be worn in the closest flat form.
The back looks like this.
There is no mesh-like cushioning material like in Mantis, but the fabric is not a problem at all because it is so firm and thick there.
It's nice and simple without the risk of fraying like mesh.
There is a hole through which the hip belt can be threaded.
There is no genuine ABLE CARRY belt yet, but we are hopeful that Max EDC will have belt holes as well, and perhaps there will be one in the future!
ABLE CARRY Core Sling|Comparison of storage capacity
Core Sling
Compact mirrorless + EDC fit together at the same time.
It is well organized with a full range of dividers and pockets that do not hinder freedom of movement.
Incidentally, the 2.5L Core Sling can just barely fit an iPad Mini.
I quite like the mesh in the front compartment because it is just right for earphones and can be accessed quickly.
Core Sling Mini
The 1.5L Core Sling Mini can also hold a full range of personal belongings, from wallets and key cases to mobile batteries.
The narrow opening, a weak point of Mantis 1, has also been eliminated.
Smooth access to luggage, even when packed.
And here's the great part.
If a camera is placed in the stretch pocket, camera + EDC operation is possible even with the 1.5L Mini.
This has high activation power and is quite good when hanging from the neck without hanging around!
The flagship model of the backpack world that meets all needs. At last, a new model from ABLE CARRY. To tell the truth, when I first heard about the concept, I honestly did not have such high expectations. Because I thought "I'm going to make the Max Backpack a little bit smaller than ...
Max Backpack
This is what the Core Sling Mini looks like when placed in the front.
The Core Sling also sticks out a bit, but it just barely fits in the front.
The Max Backpack has daisy chains on both sides that can be attached to any position.
It can be attached to the loops on the top, but be aware that it would cover the back pocket and that it would be somewhat difficult to get the center of gravity if a weighted item such as a Core Sling is attached.
The Core Sling fits securely in a horizontal position.
The functionality of A-Flex for expansion and compression and the amazing Ultra and Ultra Stretch materials.
As for the sling,While it is packed with very eye-catching elements, these elements are not flippant, but are finished at a high level in a way that makes it easy to use it purely as a sling.
Core Sling MiniCore Sling Mini
The Core Sling Mini is more compact and minimalist.
There is a particular difference in thinness, which makes it easier to feel a sense of unity.
The 2.5L Core Sling still has plenty of room even with EDC in it, and its strength is its vessel size.
Stretch pockets are also wider and more versatile.
However, this 1.5L is also really good, and is great for buying coffee at a convenience store, going to the park, or walking the dog.
If the 1.5L is used as a bag-in-bag or a pouch rather than a sling, the 1.5L is easier to use, so I would use it in combination with the 1.5L like a multi-pouch.
I would like to have one of these separate from the main one.
ABLE CARRY Core Sling|Merits and Demerits
demerit
points of concern
Cordura Ripstop model not available in black It would have been nice to have a standard color, as it has a unique lipstop appeal.
Core Sling straps are somewhat heavy duty Designed for heavy loads.
Mini's strap is thin I'm concerned about digging in when wearing T-shirts in the summer. The straps are replaceable.
Adjustment of strap length takes some getting used to.(Core Sling) Angle and adjust

ABLE CARRY Core Sling|The new standard for high-end slings
ABLE CARRY Core Sling is recommended for!
I want a high-end sling in terms of materials and features.
I was dissatisfied with the slings I had been using.
I want to experience the awesomeness of Ultra within my reach.
Bicycle/motorcycle riders happy if sling is waterproof
I use ABLE CARRY in my main backpack.
This is a very accomplished work that seems to create a new high-end sling standard.
The price range is also more affordable than backpacks, so we hope that this sling will be a good opportunity to increase the number of ABLE CARRY users.
