The year 2024 is a milestone year, and we are starting anew again with what we enjoy doing with our lives. A story of self-recognition and a way of life.

The year 2024 is a milestone year for me as I turn 30.
I have always looked for hobbies that I could enjoy for a relatively long time in my life: guitar, camera, road biking, tennis, camping.
After various triggers and reaffirmations of values, he decided to start a new record and whiskey business.
It is interesting to discover that when you study across industries, you find unexpected commonalities, or that your guitar practice can be used for tennis.
I would like to leave an article about the history of the project, including the need to reiterate it in a clear language.
Rethink your values and way of life on your own axis
Value Transition / Self-Understanding
These days, worldwide,Values and attitudes in which work is central to lifeIt's a little bit from theSelf-centered" in a good wayI feel that the way of thinking is changing.
What do you want to do with your limited, short life?
Rarely do you meet a business or a person to whom you would like to devote your life, and that is your job.
However, the reality is that the overwhelming majority of people are doing the work in front of them on a daily basis without really knowing what they are doing.
One thing I know from my own experience is why this happens.
Because facing yourself and self-understanding is first of all preceded by suffering.
There is always a stage where you recognize the areas you want to turn away from and the gap between your ideal and reality.
I also understood that if I don't face this painful phase, I will unfortunately follow somewhat of a life for the rest of my life.
When I was a little out of that bitterness and beginning to see values in a dim light, I came across the following two books.
Read with intense nodding,The feeling as if the blurry focus has been brought into sharp focus. It was.

Things that make you feel truly rich and happy, things you want to spend your time on.
What makes you happy and what do you want to spend your life time doing?
Rather than thinking out of the box,First, think in terms of after-events.It was easy to understand.
What is it that keeps us from feeling rich and happy, from being truly joyful?
My case,
- Living in the luxury and opulence of a townhouse or neo-hills style.
- Drinking and flamboyant womanizing.
- Very successful at work or in business, achieving status and prestige, but busy and pressed for time
For example, these are ≠ happy
A little more resolution and direction begins to emerge.
As for happiness,I thought it would be good to think in terms of two kinds of things: things that may change in the future and things that must not be blurred.
- Examples of happiness that should not be blurred(In my case)
Feel happiness with white rice and miso soup (= low threshold of happiness, happiness in everyday life around you) - Examples of well-being with room for change in the future(In my case)
Unrestricted by where and when you work
→ Values that are focused on individual play now, but will change if I want to do something with someone else in the future. However, it is not a priority to lower the priority of time with family and future children.
With this in mind, I would like to say that in "Living Your Own Time," which I introduced earlierNeutral zone."When I was in Japan, I went to many places and touched many things, while moving my head, of course.
They say it's good to try anything that interests you even a little.
and listen to the stories of those who have been approached by both side hires and full-time employees.
Traveling around in search of things that make your heart flutter.
Attend a live music concert
Some of the connections between past roots and my own experiences and what I was able to see greatly influenced my decision making this time around.
Until I decided to start recording.

Music to the Roots
What I liked about my childhood and what was around me
I believe these will have a tremendous impact on me as an adult.
My mother was a classical musician, but she worked in music and had piano lessons, so I often heard the sound of a grand piano. (Not a spectacular family at all).
Now that I play guitar, I somewhat regret that I should have continued to play piano as well.
I was made to do it at the time, and I stopped because I didn't like the fact that the assigned song was Morning Musume at my age (laughs).
However, the environment of having music nearby has definitely been positive in many ways to this day, and I am very grateful for that.
I want to be in touch with real sound, even if it's not my livelihood.
Even if not for work (I don't know about the future...), I want to live my life with a focus on sound.
Real sound."What is the
Ultimately, it would be live instrumental music.
Within two years, I would like to actively increase my opportunities to listen to live music, including concerts, jazz gigs, and live performances of my favorite artists.
Other than that, I thought we could focus on sound in a more familiar way.
Spotify and Apple Music, which we usually listen to, have a very compressed sound.
On the other hand, vinyl records are inscribed with sounds even in the bandwidths that cannot be recorded by CDs or music distribution.
The sounds in this area are generally outside the range of the human ear, but there are still certain nuances and warmth that can be perceived.
In terms of guitars, the reason why many professionals and guitarists insist on tube amps is similar.
I do not know and cannot speak about various genres and artists like a music hobbyist.
However, Ghibli music and other music has definitely been a part of my life, and I genuinely like music and sound, and I want to stick with it.
Music as Art
I was also attracted to the "art" aspect of the record.
The large size makes it both music and art, including the jacket.
Arrange your favorite jackets all over the wall and switch them out depending on your mood or the season.
It's a very nice interior design as well.
Blue Giant
A catalyst for my guitar fever and a reminder that music is an essential part of my life.
I read it regularly and will probably continue to read it semi-permanently in the future. The Bible for meIt is.
It was the starting point for me to confront not only the records but also the music itself.
So I decided on Blue Giant for my 1st record in life.
Why I wanted to learn about whiskey
Priority of food, food and drink, and taste
Looking back, I think we have placed a rather high value on "food" in our daily lives.
Even though I was a student, I held out for a few meals out and went to restaurants that were not of my stature.
I'm usually the youngest of the guests who come (laughs).
It is not that we just want to be extravagant, but we also want to eat in a healthy way.
I also worked part-time for about three and a half years during my college years, and thanks to my gutsy job at Seijo-Ishii, I think I have learned the taste for somewhat better things.
And I like to drink.
I hated the boozy, boisterous type of drinking,There is something special about enjoying a drink with friends and loved ones who are really close to you.
Recently, there has been a lot of talk about young people's drinking habits.
Of course, it is true that there are negative aspects, and some people are really not good at it, but perhaps the very wasteful factor is that there is no opportunity to learn about the attraction and how to enjoy it. Then there is also the trend of the times due to the recession.
Experience the charm of aroma through tea
I have always had a dim interest in wine and other wines, but not enough to get into them with gusto.
From there, it all changed.
For the past three and a half years, I have been involved in the Japanese tea industry through my work.
Work on all aspects of branding from product creation.
There, I was exposed to the benefits and subtleties of fragrance and became completely fascinated.
It never occurred to me that making tea every day would become a habit.
I think that event is strongly tied to whiskey as well.
Father's Hobby - Hakushu Distillery
One of the reasons was that someone close to me was a whiskey hobbyist.
My father, who had never had much of a hobby, became hooked on whiskey.
There was whiskey all over the house, much to the annoyance of my mother (laughs).
It was October 2023, when I was still in Shikoku and had not yet decided to move to Nagano.
The wedding was held in Nagano Prefecture.
I think this was also a major factor in my decision to move to Nagano.
Since we were just around the corner, my father had made a reservation at the Hakushu Distillery for that date.
At first, we were planning to return to Shikoku separately as it would be a flurry of activity and the distance was too far, but the tea shop owner told us, "You should definitely go! I decided to go with him.
The experience here was moving and remained a powerful event.
Impressed by the depth of whiskey
From there, there are differences in regional characteristics, production methods, drinking methods, barrels, etc.
The more I researched, the more I was drawn to the depth of whisky.
And one of the interesting aspects was that it was tied to the history of the world, including Japan.
It also contains no sugar,It is also the healthiest of alcoholic beverages with minimal disadvantages.
I like beer, sake, and wine, but whiskey was the most curious drink I wanted to know about.
To live a life with as few "regrets not to do" as possible.
You only live once, after all, and the spirit is "give it a try.
To avoid regretting "things I didn't do" as much as possible at the time of my death, I will first try anything that interests me.
If you don't get hooked on that, it's totally OK!
In the first place, there is no such thing as a hundred hits.
If you see something after trying five or ten things, that's good enough.
There are actually many side hobbies and hobbies that I have withdrawn from.
But this time I foresee whiskey and records to be a doozy like tennis and guitar...!
I am grateful to have found an exciting hobby!
